Another great playdate!

Amanda and the girls came over for a fun play date! It was the first time Katia and Ayla actually "played" together. Or rather, noticed they were there with each other. It was fun to watch them interact. Ayla, being 4 weeks older than Katia, can get around a lot more than Katia. Katia is still a blob who just is pretty stationary. I think Katia just enjoys studying her surroundings. It all was fine and dandy after Ayla got used to being in a new place around new people. We have to do this more often!

Our first Halloween

Ed and I took Katia to my dad's neighborhood in Roseville for some pizza and Trick or Treating. I decided to be a kitty cat, Katia was an Elephant and I painted Ed's face.
Going around trick or treating we walked in to a house where a party was going on. There was a woman there that went to Elementary school with my dad. Katia looked at her and held her arms out like she wanted her to hold her. It was crazy, she has never even done that for me.

Then after all the trick or treating we let Katia bask in her candy.

Play Date!

Today I picked Sara up for a day of fun! I arrived at the Healing House and waited in the lobby for Sara while all of the little kids came to see Katia and to touch her. One little girl was so interested, she scooted her butt right up in between my legs and held Katia's hand. The little girl had short black hair with bangs and was dressed in a Dora the Explorer t-shirt. I asked her what her name was and to my surprise she said, "Dora." I thought she was being cute until her mom turned around and addressed her as Dora. I had to laugh. This girl was the real life version of Dora, hair and all.

Anyways, Sara finally makes it downstairs and we head out the door. We shoved each other, our two babies and her stroller in my car and headed to Target. There we got some Starbucks and some snicky snacks, along with my Halloween costume. Both babies sleeping too! So, we get back to the apartment and set the Navaeh and Katia on the floor to play. Navaeh kept trying to eat Katia. She tried to eat her hands, arms, legs and feet. Anything she could grab for! It was cute. Here are some pictures.

Squirrels like Pumpkins?

Ed bought a pumpkin from Cub Foods. He put it up on top of our China Cabinet and we kind of forgot about it. Well, he picked it up and realized that it was starting to get mushy and moldy so we decided to carve it. It turned out alright and it would still be here with us today, in full, if it were not for the squirrels...

One happy baby.

Katia laughs, but you have to make an ass of yourself in order for her to do so, or you have to startle her. It's fun and she is so cute. I can't wait until she really gets those deep belly laughs!

The first Blog Post.

Ed emailed me today and asked me why I haven't started a blog for us yet...A little shocked, I called him and he furthered his wanting of me to start a family blog. So, I started one. I told him that the house might never be clean from here on out. He said that was fine, if we have guests, then we can clean the house!
